What your donation can do

Any donation you make will enable Get Connected to find more young people help when they need it most.

Since Get Connected was founded in 1999 by the Suzy Lamplugh Foundation and the British Transport Police we've helped over 80,000 young people.  But that is not nearly enough, as every day thousands of young people in difficult situations do not receive the support and help that they need. Your generous support will help us reach even more vulnerable young people throughout the UK. £6.50 covers the complete cost of supporting one vulnerable young person and finding them the help they need.

£73.06 covers the cost of answering all calls and emails to the helpline during one volunteer’s shift on the helpline.

£219.19 covers the cost of all calls and emails to Get Connected in one day.

£1,010 allows Get Connected to recruit, train and support a Volunteer Helpline Worker for a year.

£3,000 allows Get Connected to tell young people in one major UK city about the helpline, through advertising and PR.

These figures are based on costs worked out in July 2006.
