Abuse

Approximately 1,250 young people contacted Get Connected last year about physical abuse, sexual abuse or rape. They were often dealing with other issues, such as loneliness and depression, as a result.

It can be really difficult to find the words to explain what's going on, so if you're being abused you might not feel able to ask anyone for help.

But there are services designed to support you, and Get Connected will explore your options with you slowly and sympathetically. If you don't feel ready to tell anyone else, or report what's going on, we won't make you.

If it's difficult to speak about or you're worried about someone overhearing, you can email help@getconnected.org.uk and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. Or you can webchat with one of our Helpline Workers from www.getconnected.org.uk
